Call for Posters

  A poster session is being introduced for the 15th International Input-Output Conference in addition to the plenary and parallel sessions of presentations. A poster, which is positioned on poster board, is a means to present research projects or results as a visual display. The poster is usually a mix of a brief narrative paper, combined with tables, graphs, pictures, and other presentation formats. A poster session is an excellent forum for the exchange of information and a good chance to communicate ideas, research, and programs personally and informally. It is a particularly good mode of participation if:

1. You want other researchers outside of your discussion panel aware of your work;
2. You need more time to explain your research method or result;
3. You like a more visual way to present your work;
4. You prefer not to do a formal English-language presentation;
5. You have a preliminary description but not a full results of your research work;
6. You are a student and this is your first conference.

  Any aspect of input-output analysis and the associated models, methods, and analytical frameworks are welcomed in the poster session. The conference organizers will provide poster boards and mounting space for the purpose of poster presentation. Each poster presenter, however, is responsible for:

1. Submitting a proposal for poster presentation to Lining He (at hel@rpi.edu) no later than April 30th, 2005 (If there is room left, additional proposals may be considered until May 15);
2. Preparing a well-designed and easily readable poster;
3. Providing up to two pieces to comprise the poster, with each of them no larger than 6' x 4' (2 x 1.5 m) in size;
4. Informing the organizer of the poster session if you any have other special requirements.
